Learn how to enable offline access to downloaded ebooks for your users in desktop and mobile apps.

The default setting is for the library to verify the user's access privileges, before an ebook opens. Verifying user access privileges is an important security feature for internal corporate documentation and subscription publications.

Offline support allows your readers to access downloaded ebooks in desktop and mobile apps without internet access.

If you'd like to enable offline access for your users, you need to do so before your libraries are exported. Changing this setting after the library is exported will not take effect. The library needs to be re-exported in order for it to be available.

  1. Click on the Manage tab.
    The Manage screen will open.
  2. Click on Libraries in the left panel.
  3. Select Settings from the Libraries menu in the left panel.
  4. Select your library from the drop-down menu in the top bar.
  5. Check Offline support, below the gray box.
  6. Click Save changes.
A confirmation window will appear. "The changes have been saved successfully."
