While we're sitting at home keeping ourselves busy, we're happy to announce the release of Kotobee v1.6.2. This release doesn't just come with more stability and fixes to tiny bugs here and there, but also a major upgrade to PDF import, and interactive galleries.

Faster and More Stable PDF Import
A big part of our PDF import has been re-engineered, to process faster, and skip font errors that used to show in particular PDF files. The requirement to have your files PDF/X or PDF/A compliant is no more!
Interactive Gallery Thumbnails
If you've been using the simple and clean gallery component to display multiple images together, you may now provide better navigation to your users with thumbnails. You can customize them and choose the thumbnail sizes you'd like.
Open Galleries in Fullscreen
A special (now default) mode of the gallery, makes it open in fullscreen when your users click the currently active image (or thumbnail). This is great for images that need plenty of room to breath, such as photography images.
Additional Gallery Options
More gallery options have been introduced. You may have your thumbnails and captions overlay the gallery images, or be separated below. You may customize the caption text size and color.
Initially Hide Videos
If you have a special link to toggle a video's visibility, then initially hiding the video is important. Through the "Link" tool, you have a text/image link trigger a video's visibility or make it open in a popup..
Backend API to Clear Devices
If you're managing a private library or cloud ebook, it's no doubt that you're getting user requests asking to log in from an additional device (above the device quote you already set). This may now be done through an API request, beside doing it through Kotobee Author.
Self-Assessment Questions Bugs Fixed
Not something to be proud of, but the previous release contained a few bugs related to MCQ as well as drag-and-drop questions, where answers sometimes would not validate correctly. This has been fixed in this release.
